Foolproof Arts and Crafts
Granny Green’s has been running since August 2010, meeting in a variety of venues across the city. During that time the group has offered informal workshops in knitting, crochet, cross-stitch, rag-rugging, book-binding, patchwork and more. More recently, Granny Greeners have been involved in craft projects for charities at home and abroad, working on projects for Knit-a-Square, Lifecare Edinburgh and Beads of Courage. We’ve also taken part in some craft bombing, including making a jacket for Edinburgh landmark, Greyfriar’s Bobby!
The group also holds occasional book discussion nights and a monthly Sunday brunch. The group is very friendly and welcoming to new members, and includes everyone from beginners to skilled crafters.
The best way to find out what’s happening at Granny Green’s is to check the blog. The programme of events for the coming term is listed here as well as information about how to contact the organisers.
Otherwise, just pop into Akva between 6-8pm on a Monday evening and bring whatever you’re working on.
